We invite High School Juniors and Seniors to join industry leaders on Saturday, April 13, 2024 to learn about the trails into a career in the Forest Products sector.

Representatives from the Virginia Tech College of Natural Resources & Environment and Mountain Gateway Community College will conduct an information session to highlight the opportunity for continuing education in a 4 year or 2 year program focused on forestry. Learn how science, technology and math can lead to a career in the great outdoors.
Industry Trail

Leaders in the Forest Products industry will discuss the wide variety of opportunities for high school graduates to begin a rewarding career in Forestry. Career paths supporting Forestry include truck drivers, machine operators, welders, electricians, PLC programmers, mechanics, networking specialists, saw filers, kiln operators, lumber graders, data analysts, equipment sales and much more.
